What I feel About the Local Election

Seeing the result of local election that has been published till now has invoked me to write this article. Here comes and goes the 1st phase of the local election, but it seems that history has no sign to fed away - same party, same slogans, same old stuff are to rise again. There were some parties that seemed different from old package where we could see some hope of positivity for the betterment of the country but their votes aren’t significant at all. We cannot completely deny the old thought approach and process but time and situations always demand some new energy. At this moment, there is a need of both old stuff and the new stuff equally; most of the major parties think that the government is permanently registered to them. Our country is being ruled by the same old parties for years and years, and time has come where we need a change. Young generation and their energy can act as a strong stimulating agent for the development of the country.

The development progress of our country is very slow, and years of load shedding that we faced is the appropriate example of it. We should have never faced load shedding for these many years if the ruler of our country had ever thought about people’s pain rather than money and the position. Though it took long time for the change, we should not refute the fact that the hard work of Kulman Ghishing.  The patriotic feeling of the great Kulman Ghishing is paid off and we all Nepalese are proud of it. This signifies that if one really cares about the change, anything is possible. The work that was not possible for others for these many years was done by him. Actually, if the same old parties can work like him, we people would worship them as a God. But we have a sad reality where, we have been expecting for years and years and result is nothing beside corruption. The frequent change of Prime Minister is what we are getting.  Nepal’s poverty rate was around 70% during 2048 BS and it has now decreased to 25%, and this is not because the country has developed and progressed – but it is all because of the remittance that is earned by Youth in Gulf Countries. Youth of this poor country are in foreign countries for labor work that lead to the high remittance and decrease the poverty rate. This would have been a matter of pride if this was possible because of the development itself in our country.

As a citizen, I voted to the one whom I think is needed now but we are still waiting for the result to come. And personally I want any one of the capable people to win the election whether he/she is from old or new party. Since we have gone through the content of the old bottle many times which has not shown much effect so would like to try some of the new stuffs. But giving youth tags is not sufficient they should taste different when we have them, else we can again proclaim that old is gold. It is a challenge for new parties to show what change they can bring either they win or lose the election.

Showing Off doesn’t Change the Reality

Showing off the thing that you don’t have doesn’t change your reality what actually it is. We can’t deny the fact that ...
