Showing Off doesn’t Change the Reality

Showing off the thing that you don’t have doesn’t change your reality what actually it is. We can’t deny the fact that Nepal is a poor country and has a lot more to do in order to get out of it.  I had read somewhere that “ just to show that our President has an expensive car and is capable of riding such expensive car like other countries do, we need to buy 16 Crore car”. Therefore, concerned fake people are asking for 16 crore from government to buy a car. But reality is reality, which cannot be changed that Nepal is a poor country.  Nepal is that country where we need to breath in air by filtering it through the mask because it is full of pollution. Nepal is that country where parents cant be sure that their children will return back form school or not because they might get into the drainage and find somewhere dead on the bank of river through the big pits in the road.  Nepal has a pathetic condition, they talk about big things but they never try to solve small problems that have compelled us to live such a depressed life.  It is not important to buy 16 crore car now because it won’t bring any changes beside the harsh words to the one who ride it. Make environment pollution free and let us walk freely. Earthquake victims who haven’t got any relief yet should be prioritized first.  Government should be wise enough to make practical, and mature decision that would benefit whole Nepal not the only one.

Ethics is Something That Matters The Most

Nepal is a democratic country. And we have always been taught that voice of people is always respected in a democratic country, but I see nothing as such in our country. Our respected Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has proved it wrong on television show called “SAJHA SAWAL”. The name of the program itself says that people are free to ask any questions, which they are eager to know.

People asked a sajha sawal (question) to PM with an aim to get answer, but the response from PM made them regret for putting his queries. The way he gave answer to the question asked to him was totally disgusting and distressing. At least he could have spoken some polite words just to make people feel calm but his infuriation was reflected in his face and negativity in every word he spoke out. After watching an hour-long program, all the respect that I had for the Prime Minister has vanished.  I had a feeling that a man who can’t even handle few questions and cant satisfy people with few good words? How could he rule the whole country? How could he satisfy the voice of 7 million people from Mechi to Karnali? How could we have trust on him to make better Nepal? I earlier used to believe that people with some sense of responsibility towards their people and country go for that post of PM, but I was wrong. I doubt that Nepal will ever have good leader. It is our misfortune to have such people who can’t even respect his people who voted him. Even if people can’t make things happen practically, at least they should speak with manners.

One thing that everyone should understand is that, how rich we are, how powerful we are, how good-looking we are, the thing that matters the most is our manners/etiquette. Someone should teach our PM some basic manners one should posses as the head of the country.
